The Chief of the Army General Staff, Carlos Presti, has been appointed as the new Minister of Defense. In this position, he emphasized that the Armed Forces "must be up to the new leading role that Argentina will play in the world hand in hand with President Milei". After being appointed to the post, according to the Argentine News Agency, the new minister used his social networks to thank the president and his predecessor. "Thank you, President Javier Milei, for choosing me for this new challenge, and thank you, Minister Luis Petri, for your trust over these two years," Presti expressed in his message, where he also reiterated his vision of the role of military institutions in the international context.
